OWEGO — The Elmira wrestling team has three wrestlers into the semifinals after the first day of the STAC Wrestling Championships.

At 102 Ryder Reese Depadua won by fall in 27 seconds in the quarterfinals to make his way into the semifinals.

Liam Ogden is in the 118 semifinals, after edging Owego’s Jonathan Gilliland 4-3 in the quarters.

Donavan Smith is the top seed at 152 and he’s into the quarterfinals after a pin in 1:08 over teammate Matt Brown in the quarterfinals. Brown is in the consolation round.

J.T. Guyette is in the consolation round at 118. Joey Mastrantonio is in the consolation round at 126.

Sam Brenen-Buseck is in the consolation round at 160. Zahkye Jenkins is in the consolation rounds at 189. Ethan Hernandez is in the consolation round at 215.
