The STAC Wrestling Championships kick off today, to highlight a busy day of local sports.
The STAC Championships begin at 5 p.m. today on three mats with two championship rounds, and one round of wrestle backs.

The girls kick off tomorrow.

Local top three seeds include Elmira’s J.T. Guyette third at 118. Horseheads’ Cody Dale is second at 126 and teammate Coleton Owen is third at 132.

Ryan Massengale of Horseheads is the top seed at 138 and Donavan Smith of Elmira is the top seed at 152, while Corning’s Clayton Smith and Horseheads’ Lucas Mosher are the next two seeds.

Horseheads’ Liam Levantovich is the third seed at 160 and at 189 Hunter Lavigne of Horseheads is the second seed. Ethan Hernandez of Elmira is the third seed at 215 and teammate Alex McKerrow is the third seed at 285.

For the girls’ Corning’s Keegan Rhodes is the second seed at 114 and Caitlin Wheeler of Horseheads is the third seed at 120. Narayani Wiehe of Horseheads is the top seed at 16 and Corning’s Jenna Comer is the third seed.

Hailey Berry of Horseheads is the tops seed at 132, followed by teammate Chloe Owen.

Taylor Pierce of Corning is the top seed at 145 and Kalyani Wiehe is the third seed. Karen Marie Rivera of Corning is the top seed at 152 followed by Mayanna Sindlinger of Horseheads. Corning’s Jade Cook is the top seed at 165 and Tori Cortright of Horseheads is the third seed. At 235 Elisa Bly of Horseheads is the second seed.
