HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: MALONEY NETS 26 AS ND GIRLS TOP TIOGA (January 11, 2023)
Southern Tier Sports Report SOUTHPORT — Shannon Maloney had 26 points as the Notre Dame girls’ basketball team picked up a 65-32 win over Tioga in IAC action on Tuesday night.
Notre Dame jumped out to a 25-5 lead after one quarter and never looked back in the win.
Maloney had 26 points, 13 of them coming in the opening quarter of the win.
Mallory Sheehan had 16 points in the win, with six coming in the second quarter and six more in the fourth quarter.
Lawson Bigelow had 10 points in the game, eight in the first half.
Maddy Fargo had five points for the Crusaders and Ava Mustico and Allie O’Brien each had four points in the game.
Lily Mesler led the Tigers with 12 points, including a pair of threes, while Reese Howey had eight points in the game and Elyse Haney had eight points. Howey’s points all came in the first half and Haney’s all came in the second half.
Haley Powell had four points for Tioga.
