HIGH SCHOOL SWIMMING AND DIVING: ELMIRA BOYS OPEN SEASON WITH VICTORY (2022-11-29)

ELMIRA — The Elmira boys’ swimming and diving team opened the season with an 88-58 win at home on Tuesday afternoon.

Creed Hackett, Zxander Gabriel, Lance Bahantka and Gavin Shoemaker won the 200 medley relay in 2:04.88.

In the 200 free Jan Mayoras won in 2:23.72 and Aiden McKibbin was third in 2:57.25.

Bahantka was second in the 200 IM in 2:50.32.

Cooper Taft won the 50 free in 26.40 followed by Shoemaker in 26.44.

Hackett won the diving at 247.10 followed by teammate Aiden Ranck at 126.10.

Charles Lovell won the 100 fly in 1:18.49 followed by Bahantka in 1:22.01.

Taft won the 100 free in 1:01.11 followed by Shoemaker in 1:02.27.

Mayoras was second in the 500 free in 6:31.62.

Taft, Shoemaker, Gabriel and Hackett won the 200 free relay in 1:52.21 and Lovell had the fastest time in the 100 back as an exhibition in 1:22.79.

Hackett, Mayoras, Taft and Bahantka had the top time as an exhibition in the 400 free relay in 4:23.31.
