Southern Tier Sports ReportELMIRA — The Elmira College Men's Basketball Team held its ground on Tuesday evening, forcing a big time turnover in the closing seconds of overtime to propel itself to a 95-93 victory over Hilbert College, its first of the season.
Bryan Adams '25 posted a career night for the Soaring Eagles, scoring a career-best 39 points while shooting 12-of-17 from the floor (70.5%) and 11-of-16 from the free throw stripe. Quintel Clements '22 also provided good work for Elmira in the post, scoring 10 points and collecting seven rebounds.
In his first game of the season, Brijon Warren '25 was able to chip in 13 points, two rebounds, and two assists in 25 minutes.
In the contest, the Soaring Eagles outscored the Hawks 20-10 in points off turnovers, forcing 14 in total.
