Sectional football takes center stage as both Elmira and Horseheads open postseason play today, while area divers compete at sectionals.

FOOTBALL
BINGHAMTON AT ELMIRA, 7 P.M.
SECTION 4, CLASS AA SEMIFINALS
The second-seeded Express play host to third-seeded Binghamton in the Class AA playoffs. The winner moves on to face top seeded Corning on the road next week. Elmira won the previous matchup just a couple weeks ago 53-18.

HORSEHEADS AT VESTAL, 7 P.M.
SECTION 4, CLASS A SEMIFINALS
The Blue Raiders will look to make a second straight sectional title game as they go on the road against Vestal. The task will be a tough one as the Blue Raiders, the third seed at 4-5 on the year, face the second-seeded Golden Bears (5-3). The two teams met a few weeks ago with Vestal winning 23-0.

EDISON AT OXFORD, 6 P.M.
CROSS-OVER GAME
The Spartans go on the road for a cross-over game to extend their season. The two teams just met last week with Edison getting the win at home.

DIVING
SECTIONAL FINALS AT MAINE-ENDWELL, 3:30 P.M.
Corning’s Brooker Terwilliger is the top seed in Class A, while Emma Bachert of Horseheads is the second seed. Both divers have already clinched a spot in the state meet.
