HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS' SWIMMING & DIVING: ND HAS STRONG SHOWING IN CLASS C PRELIMS (6 PHOTOS) (2022-11-02)

The Notre Dame swimming and diving team competed in the Section 4, Class C prelims on Wednesday, advancing swimmers to Saturday’s finals in every event.

In the 200 medley relay Alexis Collins, Allie O’Brien, Hannah Gonzalez and Leah Gonzalez finished fifth in the prelims in 2:15.43.

O’Brien was second in the 200 IM in 2:22.12 and in the 100 fly Hannah Gonzalez was 11th in 1:24.60 to make the B final.

Hannah Gonzalez was 10th in the 500 free in 6:43.69 to make the B final and in the 100 back O’Brien took second in 1:03.49 and Isabella Mashewske was 14th in 1:28.03.

In the 400 free relay O’Brien, Mashewske, Hannah Gonzalez and Anna Paltrowitz were sixth in the prelims in 4:46.60.

Leah Gonzalez was 14th in the 200 free in 2:40.89 to make the B final.

Collins was sixth in the 50 free in 28.47 and Mashewske was 15th in 31.64 to make the B final.

Collins made the final in the 100 free in sixth in 1:04.37 and Leah Gonzalez, Collins, Mashewske and Paltrowitz took fifth in the 200 free relay in 2:11.78.

Violet Daly made the B final in the 100 breaststroke in 1:29.96.
