ELMIRA ELITE 14U FINISH AS RUNNER-UP IN OSWEGO TOURNEY (2022-07-28)

OSWEGO — The Elmira Elites 14u team played at Legends Field in Oswego over the weekend and came home with a runner-up finish.

The team beat the top seeded team in the semifinal, beating the Capital City Red 14u, 4-2.

Dradyn McGee homered in the first inning to put Elmira up 2-0 and Noah Cain went seven innings on the mound, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out seven and walking none.

McGee had two hits in the game.

The team also had a 15-0 win over the Braves 14u. McGee had two hits, two RBI and a run scored and Marek Mascho had two hits, with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in the win. Aaron Morgan allowed just one hit, striking out four.

The team also had an 8-4 win over the Canandaigua Braves. Cain and Morgan each had two hits and Cain and Mascho had doubles in the game.

Dasch Benson went three innings, striking out five and Mascho and Levi Stahli combined to strike out four in four innings.
