ADULT LACROSSE LEAGUE: LOCAL STANDOUTS PLAY IN WEEK TWO FOR QUEEN CITY LAX (24 PHOTOS) (2022-06-28)

SOUTHPORT — Week two of the Queen City Lax League began on Monday with a pair of games at Notre Dame High School.

The men’s adult lacrosse league features four teams — Ill Eagle Tap House, Two 22 Sports, Drake HVAC and Los Panchos.

The teams include any player who is out of high school, with some players as recent as 2022 graduates. There are a number of athletes currently playing in college competing in the league.

Through week one Ill City had been led in scoring by Seth Hogue, who plays at Jacksonville, Eddie Gigliotti III, who plays at Mt. Saint Mary’s and Quinn Bowler, who plays at Manhattan. All three had three goals and an assist in week one.

Two 22 Sports was led by current high school graduates Patrick Carpenter, of Horseheads, with 2 goals and four assists coming into this week and Elmira’s Jason Sukey (with two goals and two assists). Carpenter will play at St. Bonaventure and Stukey at Alfred.

Los Panchos was led in week one by Alfred’s Drew Cartwright (two goals and five assists) and Seth Grottenthaler (four goals and two assists) who was coming off scoring a goal for RIT in the national final as RIT won a second straight national title.

Drake was led by 2022 Notre Dame graduate Owen Spring in week one (five goals and two assists), Spring will play at St. Bonaventure. Kelly Dupree had three goals and three assists for the Drake team and he plays for Manhattan.
