COLLEGE WOMEN'S LACROSSE: RILEY, LOGAN OLMSTEAD PART OF PATRIOT LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM, REACH NCAA QUARTERS WITH LOYOLA

Corning grads Riley and Logan Olmstead made it to the NCAA quarterfinals with Loyola, Maryland, before seeing their season come to an end on Thursday.
Loyola won their NCAA opener 17-5 over Mount St. Mary’s and then they beat James Madison 18-8 to advance to the quarterfinals.
In the quarters on Thursday they came up short 20-13 to No. 3 Boston College.
Both Riley and Logan started in all three games of the NCAA Tournament on defense. Riley had one ground ball in each of the three games and Logan had a ground ball against James Madison.
Both sisters, who are juniors, started all 23 games this year. Riley had 12 ground balls and Logan had nine ground balls.
Loyola was 20-3 on the season. They won the Patriot League Championship with a 15-8 victory over Navy in the final. They beat Lehigh in the first game of the tournament 19-5.
