Southern Tier Sports Report
The Section 4 softball tournament begins today, while the IAC wraps up their track and field championship, and boys’ golfers head back to the course for the state qualifier.

Here’s a look at today’s action.

BOYS’ GOLF
STATE QUALIFIER AT MARK TWAIN, 9 A.M.
The boys for Corning and Horseheads were last on the course for their school in the fall, but now they return with a chance to qualify for states. Corning has three golfers at the state qualifier — Luca Neally, Luke Mayfield and Nishant Lahiri — and Horseheads has a pair of golfers — Matt Printup and Evan Hatch.

SOFTBALL
CLASS C SECTIONALS
NO. 9 SOUTHERN CAYUGA AT NO. 8 EDISON, 4:30 P.M.
The Spartans open the postseason at home against Southern Cayuga. The winner advances to play top seeded Greene on the road next week.

TRACK AND FIELD
IAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
NOTRE DAME AND EDISON AT TRUMANSBURG, 4 P.M.
The Spartans and Crusaders wrap up action at the IAC Championships. Notre Dame’s girls lead after day one.

JV BASEBALL
STAC FINAL
OWEGO AT HORSEHEADS, 5:30 P.M.
The Unbeaten Blue Raiders look to capture the JV STAC Championship.
