Southern Tier Sports Report
There is some postseason track and field to highlight today’s sports action.

Notre Dame and Edison head to Trumansburg for the IAC Championships, day one, while Elmira, Horseheads and Corning head to Johnson City for the STAC Championships.

Here’s a look at today’s events.

TRACK AND FIELD
STAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
CORNING, ELMIRA, HORSEHEADS AT JOHNSON CITY, 5 P.M.
The three STAC teams in the area head to Johnson City to compete in the STAC Championships as the postseason gets going. This is the first postseason event, before sectionals next week, then state qualifiers and states.

IAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
NOTRE DAME, EDISON AT TRUMANSBURG, 4:30 P.M.
The Crusaders and Spartans head to day one of the two day IAC Track and Field Championships.

BOYS’ GOLF
NEWARK VALLEY AT NOTRE DAME, 4:30 P.M.
The Crusaders play host to a golf match at Mark Twain Golf Course today.

BOYS’ LACROSSE
JOHNSON CITY AT CORNING, 7 P.M.
The Hawks play a home matchup today.
