ENDWELL — The Horseheads boys’ lacrosse team heads into the postseason with all the momentum in the world, finishing the regular season with perhaps their most dominant game of the year.

The Blue Raiders snapped Maine-Endwell’s 14-game win streak with a 14-6 road victory on Monday night.

“We couldn’t be prouder of the heart every single one of our boys showed tonight,” Horseheads coach Jason Neubauer said. “To come into Maine-Endwell and play a team that has won 14 games in a row is not an easy thing to do.

“Our focus now is the second season that starts tomorrow.”

Andrew Potter had a big game in goal for the Blue Raiders, notching 14 says to help lead to the victory.

Alex Johanson finished with five goals to lead the Blue Raiders and Garrett Elston had three goals and two assists in the game.

Patrick Carpenter finished with a goal and three assists for Horseheads and Landen Snyder had a goal and an assist in the game.

Casey Klossner, Zach Lese, Patrick Karabaich and Domanik West all had goals for Horseheads in the game.

Gabe Thompson had two goals and an assist for Maine-Endwell and Aidan McHugh finished with two goals.

Tyler Matthews and Hayden Hollenbeck each had goals for the Spartans in the game.

Sam Toten finished with eight saves in goal for Maine-Endwell.
