ON TAP TODAY: STAC BASEBALL/SOFTBALL TOURNEYS HIGHLIGHT DAY IN LOCAL SPORTS (May 14, 2022)
Southern Tier Sports Report The STAC Baseball and Softball Championships highlight the day in local sports today.
Outside of the STAC games it’s a relatively light local schedule.
Here’s a look at the day’s events.
BASEBALL HORSEHEADS AT STAC CHAMPIONSHIPS The Blue Raiders travel to Mirabito Stadium in Binghamton for the STAC tournament. AT 10 a.m. Windsor meets Union-Endicott. At 1 p.m. Horseheads squares off with Owego. The winner’s meet for the title at 4 p.m.
SOFTBALL CORNING AT STAC CHAMPIONSHIPS The Hawks head to Chenango Valley for the tournament. The Hawks meet Chenango Valley at 10 a.m. and then the winner takes on Maine-Endwell for the title at 12:15 p.m.
BOYS’ LACROSSE NOTRE DAME AT ONEONTA, 11 A.M. The Crusaders hit the road for a boys’ lacrosse matchup. The Crusaders are coming off a hard-fought loss to Ithaca in their last game.
CORNING AT GENEVA, 11 A.M. The Hawks head to Section 5 for a non-league matchup. The Hawks are coming off a loss to Vestal in their last game.
FLAG FOOTBALL BINGHAMTON AT HORSEHEADS, 6 P.M. The Blue Raiders host their first home game ever for flag football. After dropping their season opener the Blue Raiders look to even their season record.
