COLLEGE WOMEN'S LACROSSE: ELMIRA'S ARNOLD EARNS ALL-CONFERENCE HONORS FOR LYCOMING (2022-05-11)
Southern Tier Sports ReportElmira graduate Tess Arnold earned second-team all-conference honors for the Lycoming women’s lacrosse team.
Arnold earned the second-team All-MAC Freedom team along with two other teammates, while another teammate earned honorable mention honors.
Arnold was a versatile part of both the Warriors offensively and defensively. She posted 46 points, scoring 24 times and assisting 22 goals to finish 10th in the conference in the category. She also was sixth in the league with 2.89 ground balls per game, eighth with 1.42 caused turnovers and 15th with 2.95 draw controls. Arnold had five five-point games, including posting five goals and an assist in back-to-back wins over DeSales and Delaware Valley.
It was quite the breakout season for the Elmira graduate. Due to Covid, and shortened seasons, Arnold had played in, and started, six games through her first two seasons in college, with three goals.
This year she finished third on the team in points, fourth in goals and third in assists.
Lycoming finished the season with a 10-9 mark.
Tess’s brother Adam Arnold, played on the mens team, playing in 15 games this season. He had three ground balls and three shots on the year.
