H.S. SOFTBALL: RIPLEY HITS HOME RUN, EDISON HAS 17 HITS IN WIN OVER TRUMANSBURG (2022-05-05)

TRUMANSBURG — Kailey Ripley hit a home run and the Edison softball team had 17 hits as they beat Trumansburg 14-2 on Thursday afternoon.

Edison scored two in the first and three in the second to go up 5-0. Trumansburg got a run back in the bottom of the second, before Edison scored two in the third. Trumansburg got another run back in the third to make it 7-2.

In the seventh inning Edison scored seven runs, including a two-run home run by Ripley, to put the game away.

Ripley had a double, a home run, three RBI and a run scored in the game.

Mariana Jones, Maddison Pack and Gabby Milazzo all had three hits games for the Spartans.

Jones had a double, three RBI and two runs scored and Pack had a double and scored two runs. Milazzo had a double, an RBI and a run scored.

Madasyn Huffner had a pair of hits, with an RBI and a run scored and Charlee Stroman had a double and a triple, three RBI and a run scored.

Bella Muffe had a hit and scored three runs and Emma Maggs had a hit, two RBI and a run scored.

Brianna Korsky and Emily Aiello each scored runs for the Spartans in the game.

Jones went the distance on the mound for Edison, striking out seven and allowing three hits and two unearned runs.
