H.S. SOFTBALL: ELMIRA HITS THREE DOUBLES, BUT FALLS TO VESTAL (2022-05-03)

ELMIRA — A pair of third-inning runs proved to be the difference as Elmira was edged by Vestal 4-1 in softball action on Monday.

The Elmira Express had three doubles in the game, but they were limited to four overall hits in the loss.

Mackenzie Fusare, Allie Howe and Abigail Lambert all had doubles for the Express in the game. Lambert scored the Elmira run and Delaney Williams had the RBI.

Addison Chorney had the other Elmira hit in the game.

Paige Colbath went four innings on the mound, allowing five hits and striking out one, while allowing two runs, just one earned. Paityn Chorney struck out one in three innings, while allowing three hits and two runs, just one earned.
