H.S. SOFTBALL: WOLF AND WEST COMBINE ON ONE HITTER AS HORSEHEADS BLANKS BINGHAMTON (2022-05-02)

HORSEHEADS — The Blue Raiders softball team scored 18 runs in four innings as they had an 18-0 five-inning win over Binghamton on Monday.

Horseheads scored three in the first, then exploded for eight second-inning runs on their way to the victory.

Megan Wolf and Kailee West combined on a one-hitter for the Blue Raiders in the game. Wolf struck out 10 and allowed one hit in four innings, while West struck out one in one hitless inning.

Horseheads had 18 hits in the game, with Maddie Matkosky going 4-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored.

Carly Scott, Olivia Packard, Eva Koratsis, Belle Giammichele and Molly Wolf and Megan Wolf all had two hits in the game.

Packard had a triple, three RBI and a run scored and Scott had two RBI and two runs scored, with a double.

Giammichele had a double and scored three runs and Molly Wolf had a double, an RBI and two runs scored.

Koratsis had three RBI and two runs scored  and Megan Wolf had two RBI and a run scored.

West and Grace Perritt each had hits in the game. West had an RBI and scored a run and Perritt scored two runs.

Katie Morse had an RBI in the game and Rachel Lunger had two RBI and a run scored and Jocelyn Trimber scored a run.
