MAINE-ENDWELL — The Corning volleyball team rallied for a five-set win on the road.

Corning won the match 20-25, 25-22, 15-25, 25-21, 27-25.

Olivia Keegan had 20 points, 10 kills and 15 digs in the match and Jenna DiNardo had 16 assists, 15 points and 10 digs, while Imanni Harewood had 15 points, six kills and 11 blocks.

“The girls started off a little slow on their feet and weren’t talking much,” Corning coach Barb Smith said. “After losing the first set we knew we needed to change things up quick; can’t let the ball hit the floor.

“As you can tell by the scores it was back and forth with sets. I was al little nervous at first because we haven’t had to play fie sets and I was worried about the girls being pretty tired. IT was like they had a burst of energy and they didn’t give up. Both teams played scrappy towards the end. And my heart is no longer in my stomach.”
