VESTAL — The Horseheads volleyball team rallied for a five-set win on the road Wednesday.

Horseheads won the match 24-26, 26-24, 18-25, 25-16, 25-14.

"It was a total team effort in front of a loud gymnasium," Horseheads coach Tim Crout said. "Vestal played amazing. I am so proud of how well we fought back in the Vestal gym.

"We are without two starters because of injuries wo we have had to make a lot of adjustments on the run. Nia Lewis had 22 setter assists and Lydia Schooley had 18. In the fifth set with the score decided by three points Lanie Perry went on a service run with four aces and eight points to close the match."

Lydia Schooley had 18 assists, 12 digs and five aces and Nia Lewis had 22 assists in the match.

Taylor Malone had 22 kills, 24 digs and five blocks and Kendall Salabeenie had six blocks.

Lanie Perry finished with 14 digs and five aces in the match and Macy Karpowich had three blocks and six kills.

Madison Adams had 10 kills and Madeline Drake finished with four blocks, while Mia Foster had 14 digs.
