SECTION 4 FOOTBALL: CORNING STATE RANKED IN AA; HORSEHEADS (A) AND ELMIRA (AA) HM (September 14, 2021)

The Corning football team is state ranked in the first football rankings of the season.

The Hawks are ranked 22nd in Class AA, the only Section 4 team ranked In the state.

Elmira is honorable mention in AA and in Class A the Horseheads Blue Raiders are honorable mention in the state rankings.

Elmira is the only AA team from Section 4 listed in honorable mention. Union-Endicott and Horseheads are the only two Section 4 teams listed as honorable mention in A.

Iona Prep is the top ranked AA team in the state and Garden City is the top ranked A team.

Maine-Endwell, who Horseheads plays in week three of the season, is the top ranked Class B team in the state.
