H.S. SOFTBALL: SULLIVAN HOMERS AS CORNING ENDS MYRTLE TRIP WITH ANOTHER WIN (2022-04-13)

MYRTLE BEACH — The Corning softball team finished their Myrtle Beach trip with a perfect 3-0 record, beating Fort LeBoeuf 14-0 on Wednesday night.

Peyton Sullivan hit a home run for Corning in the game and Kellie Zoerb had three hits, while Atalyia Rijo and Sophia Polzella had two hits each.

Sullivan had a home run, a run scored and two RBI and Zoerb had three hits, with three RBI and two runs scored.

Sullivan was dominant on the mound, striking out five and allowing just one hit in the game.

Rijo had a double, a triple, two RBI and four runs scored and Polzella had two doubles and two RBI and two runs scored.

Ellie DeRosa had a hit, an RBI and a run scored and Kendall Curreri had a hit, an RBI and a run scored and Olivia Keegan had a hit and a run scored.

Molly Moylan had an RBI and a run scored and Kelsey Booker scored a run in the game.

Corning finishes the Southern trip with a scrimmage Tuesday and they resume their home schedule against Ithaca on Tuesday.
