HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Bantams controlled the tempo of play early in the first period and would provide some work in goal for EC's Leonie-Louise Kuehberger '25. Kuehberger would do her part to keep the contest scoreless while Brianna Haviland '22 broke the tie at the other end of the ice by finding the back of the net at the 2:56 mark. Haviland's first goal of the season would be set up by Madi Morton '24.

Holding onto a 1-0 lead in the second period, Morgan Mordini '22 delivered an outlet pass that would find Beaudin all alone with only the goalkeeper to beat. Beaudin would go to the backhand and slip the puck between the legs of the Bantams' goalie to make it 2-0 at the 7:57 mark. The goal was also Beaudin's 17th of her career while on the power-play.

Trinity notched a power-play goal of its own at the 13:41 mark of the second period to trim the deficit to 2-1 as Cassidy McNeeley redirected a shot that would beat Kuehberger just under the crossbar.

Claire Meeder '23 needed just 23 seconds to give the Soaring Eagles a 3-1 lead early in the third period as she extended her goal-scoring streak to four consecutive games. Mordini and Beaudin would be credited with assists on Meeder's 11th goal of the season.

Trinity would pull its goalie for an extra skater with under a minute to play in the third period and with one second left on the clock, it would be Meeder registering her second goal of the night to make it 4-1. Mordini added her third assist of the contest on Meeder's 12th goal of the season.

Kuehberger finished with 29 saves on 30 shots in net for the Soaring Eagles as she improved to 10-2-1 on the season. Elmira went 1-for-2 with the extra skater on the night, while Trinity finished 1-for-3.

UP NEXT:
The Soaring Eagles return to the ice for a huge non-conference tilt on the road against No. 8 Nazareth College on Saturday, January 22. The puck is set to drop at 4:00 p.m. between the Soaring Eagles and Golden Flyers.
