Southern Tier Sports Report
All the area wrestling teams are at tournaments, while the swimming portion of the annual Elmira Swimming and Diving Invitational kicks off.

Here’s a look at the day’s schedule.

SWIMMING AND DIVING
Elmira, Corning, Horseheads at Elmira Invite, 10 a.m.
After three athletes hit the state mark in diving on Friday, the swimming portion of the Elmira Invitational begins. Area athletes make up the top seeds in a majority of the events being swam.

WRESTLING
Horseheads at Bradshaw Tourney, 9 a.m.
The Blue Raiders complete day two at the rugged Bradshaw Invitational. It was a strong start for Horseheads on the first day. Six Horseheads wrestlers are into the quarterfinals, the rest are alive in wrestle backs.

Corning at Jim McCloe Memorial Tournament, 9 a.m.
The Hawks head to Waverly for the first of what they expect to be an annual tournament named in honor of their longtime former coach.
Corning is in a pool with Vestal, Whitney Point and Middletown, while Maine-Endwell, Union-Endiott and Oxford-Greene are in the other pool.

Edison at Dan Wickham Classic (Unatego), 9 a.m.
The Spartans head to Unatego for the dual meet tournament. Last week at the O-M Duals the Spartans had two most outstanding wrestlers at their weight.

Elmira at Hornell Tournament, 9 a.m.
The Express head to Hornell for a tournament. Elmira is coming off a loss to Horseheads in a dual meet on Thursday.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL
Notre Dame at Horseheads, 2:45 p.m.
The Blue Raiders play host to the Crusaders in a non-league boys’ basketball game.

TRACK AND FIELD
Horseheads, Elmira at Cortland
The Blue Raiders and Express head to Cortland for an indoor track and field meet.

Corning, Notre Dame at Brockport
The two area teams head to Brockport out of Section 5 for an indoor track and field meet.
