STAC DIVING: THREE LOCALS HIT STATE MARK AT ELMIRA INVITE (24 PHOTOS) (2022-01-15)

Three locals hit the state mark during the diving portion of the 2022 Elmira Swimming and Diving Invitational.

Horseheads’ Aaron Verkleeren won at 496.75. He hit the state mark for the second straight meet. Verkleeren’s teammate Josh Scibek also hit the state mark, scoring 478.75 to take second.

Elmira’s Creed Hackett took third at 458.80, also a state score.

Coring’s Taigan McCarey finished fifth at 336.60 and Corning’s Brenden Jardin-Reed was 10th at 283.00. Horseheads’ Miles Twomey finished 11th at 211.25 followed by Elmira’s Cooper Taft (200.50) and Horseheads’ Peter Boris (157.60).
