IAC GIRLS' BASKETBALL: EDISON GIRLS WIN SEVENTH STRAIGHT (2022-01-14)

LANSING — It wasn’t easy, but the Edison girls’ basketball team got a win on the road at Lansing 53-45 to win their seventh straight game on Friday.

Lansing jumped out to a quick start, leading 20-9 after one quarter. Edison outscored Lansing 11-5 in the second to get within 25-20 at the half, and then Edison outscored Lansing 32-20 in the second half to seal the win.

Payton Littlefield had 27 points to lead the Spartans, 17 of those points in the second half, including 11 points in the fourth quarter. Littlefield was 10-for-10 from the free throw line in the game.

Lexi Moore had 11 points for Edison, seven of the them in the third quarter.

Harper Hoffman finished with nine points for the Spartans and Maren Lutz had four points, while Gianna McGee had two points in the game.
