Southern Tier Sports Report
It’s a busy day of local sports, as some area teams are in weekend tournaments, and the Horseheads and Elmira girls’ basketball teams meet in a rivalry game.

Here’s a look at what’s on the schedule for today.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
Horseheads at Elmira, 3 p.m.
One day after the boys put on a game for the ages with Horseheads rallying from 20 down at home for a wi, the girls teams meet. Elmira’s girls enter ranked 11th in the state, and coming off a win over Ithaca, while Horseheads is coming off a loss to Corning on Wednesday.

WRESTLING
Corning at Greg Partridge Memorial Duals, 10 a.m.
The Hawks host their dual meet tournament. Along with Corning, Marathon, Dryden, Addison, West Genesee and Union-Endicott will be wrestling. The Hawks are coming off a win over Maine-Endwell in their last match.

Elmira at Oneonta Tournament
The Express complete day two at the Oneonta wrestling tournament.

Edison at Odessa-Montour Duals, 9 a.m.
The Spartans head to O-M for a dual meet tournament with SVEC, Dundee, Whitney Point, South Seneca, host Odessa-Montour and the Spartans.

Horseheads at Flynn Duals (at Towanda), 11 a.m.
The Blue Raiders head to Towanda to wrestle in a dual meet tournament. Horseheads is in a pool with host Towanda, North Penn-Liberty and Western Wayne in pool A. Sullivan County, West Scranton, Port Allegany and Montoursville are in pool B. Horseheads opens the day with West Scranton.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL
Notre Dame at Windsor, 4 p.m.
The Crusaders head to Windsor for a non-league matchup to wrap up their week. Notre Dame is coming off a win over Edison in their last game.

SWIMMING & DIVING
Corning & Horseheads at Invitational at The Glen, 8 a.m.
The two local teams wrap up the Invitational at the Glen with day two of the tournament in Watkins Glen.

BOWLING
Corning at mid-season tourney (at U-E)
The Hawks head to Union-Endicott for a mid-season bowling tournament.

TRACK AND FIELD
Elmira, Horseheads at Cortland
The Blue Raiders and Express head to Cortland for an indoor track and field meet.

Corning at Penn University, 8 a.m.
The hawks head to Pennsylvania and go to Penn College for an indoor track and field meet.
