Corning and Horseheads meet in a battle of unbeaten on both the hardwoods and the wrestling mats to highlight the day’s action.

Here’s a look at what’s on the schedule on a busy day with eight events.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL
Horseheads at Corning, 7:15 p.m.:
The two unbeaten teams meet to start off 2022. Neither team played last week after the Josh Palmer Fund Holiday Tournament was canceled. Corning is 5-0 on the year and Horseheads is 4-0 on the season.

Ithaca at Elmira, 7:15 p.m.:
The Express have a home game with the Little Red to kick off 2022. Elmira hasn’t played since before Christmas after the Josh Palmer Fund Holiday Tournament was canceled.

WRESTLING
Corning at Horseheads, 6:30 p.m.:
The two rivals meet on the wrestling mats to open 2022. Both are unbeaten in STAC matchups this season.

SWIMMING AND DIVING
ELMIRA AT HORSEHEADS, 5:30 p.m.:
The two local teams meet in Horseheads. Both teams had last week off and haven’t swam since before Christmas.

Vestal at Corning, 6:30 p.m.:
The Hawks have a home meet to kick off 2022. The Hawks had last week off and last swam before Christmas when Ryan McNutt set four pool records in a win at Union-Endicott.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
Edison at Notre Dame, 7:30 p.m.:
The two IAC teams meet for the first time this year. Edison’s last game was a win over Tioga, while the last game for Notre Dame was a win over Dryden.

BOWLING
Notre Dame at Waverly, 3:30 p.m.:
The Crusaders head to the Valley Bowling Center to kick off 2022.

Edison at Marathon, 4 p.m.:
The Spartans hit the road for a non-league match to kick off 2022.
