COLLEGE SWIMMING: NOTRE DAME'S ROGERS, HORSEHEADS' TELECH COMPETE IN POOL IN COLLEGE (2021-12-29)

A pair of area grads met in the pool recently as Horseheads graduate Marisssa Telech swam for St. Lawrence and Notre Dame graduate Caroline Rogers swam for Skidmore.

In the 100 fly they finished just a fraction of a second off from each other. Telech was third in 1:07.64, while Rogers took fourth in 1:07.73.

In the 400 free relay it was Rogers team who finished one spot ahead of Telech. Rogers, and her Skidmore relay, finished second in 3:59.58 and Telech, and her St. Lawrence relay, finished third in 4:07.88.

In the 200 medley relay Telech was part of a second-place finish and she was second in the 50 free.

Rogers had a win on the day, in the 200 fly, as she finished in 2:29.45. She also took third in the 200 backstroke in 2:26.51.

Both teams were also recently at the RIT Don Richards Invite.

Rogers took second in the 200 medley relay (1:54.81), fourth in the 100 fly (1:02.94), 2nd in the 200 back (2:14.97), 2nd in the 200 fly (2:19.75), fifth in the 200 IM (2:19.08) and second in the 400 medley relay (4:06.67).

Telech was 17th in the 50 free in 26.93 and she was part of a fourth-place relay in the 400 medley relay, in 4:18.12. She was part of a fourth-place finish in the 200 medley relay in 1:59.60 and she finished 11th in the 100 fly in 1:06.36.
