Southern Tier Sports ReportSPENCER — The Edison boys and girls’ cross country teams each picked up wins in a quad meet at Spencer Van-Etten on Tuesday afternoon.
Edison’s girls were the only complete team and for the boys Edison had 24, Candor had 35, Tioga was at 69 and SVE had an incomplete team.
Edison’s Jeremiah Hubschmitt won the boys race in 23:12.21 followed by teammate Aidan Stein (23:12.40). Grayson Margeson was fourth at 23:21.33.
Mark Schillo Jr. was 10th in 25:04.90 and Cyrus Bidwell was 12th in 27:15.83 while Jeffrey Stone was 15th in 28:05.17 and Jordan Elliot was 21st in 32:06.66 while Sawyer Burleigh was 23rd in 32:06.66.
For the girls Paisley Harnas of Edison was third in 27:38.89 followed by teammates Emma Duggan (27:39.94), Olivia Vinsek (32:06.40), Natalie Spier (32:55.55), Emma Rose Deats (33:19.58), Eva Mirando (33:19.82) and Alexa Stein (34:21.88). Madelyn Ellison of SVE won at 26:05.03. Parker Lincoln of Edison was 12th in 37:57.89.
For modified boys Edison won at 21, followed by SVE at 34.
Kegan Hartwell of Edison won the race in 11:24.97 with teammate Nathan Margeson third at 12:21.35 followed by teammate Anthony Schillo (12:33.88). Colin Till was sixth at 13:37.04 and Connor Stone was ninth at 14:55.08.
For the girls no school had five runners. LaJuanah Thetga of Edison was sixth in 15:25.24.
