Southern Tier Sports ReportELMIRA HEIGHTS — The Horseheads girls’ tennis team fell to Vestal on Wednesday night, 7-0.
Sophie Sweet of Vestal won 6-1, 6-0 over Laura Cummings at first singles and at second singles Ella Sweet of Vestal won 6-1, 6-0 over Lydia Mackey.
At third singles Bikel Cass won 6-2, 6-0 over Horseheads’ Kaitlyn Soper and Vestal’s Breanna Hardy on 6-2, 6-2 over Niya Sharma at fourth singles.
At first doubles Seema Patel and Meenakshi Chakravadhanula of Vestal won 6-1, 6-2 over Hannah Mattoon and Peyton Peterson.
In second doubles Sayeh Hajinazar and Aashnita Kandanati won 6-4, 6-1 over Ella Scibek and Ellie Pagano.
At third doubles Leafen Beason and Zini Liu on 6-3, 7-6 (9-7) over Addie Pronti and Aditi Kamaraju.
