ENDICOTT — The Corning girls’ soccer team edged Union-Endicott on the road Saturday, 2-1.
Noelle Sonsire and Aubrey Rose had the Corning goals, off assists from Lauren Yonken and Ashlyn Musto.
“I couldn’t be happier with our grit and determination,” Corning coach Julie Pierce said. “Seniors Ruby Squire and Keana Mann continue to anchor a young team and lead by example. Our defense was outstanding and showed tremendous composure and toughness throughout the game.”
Karina Swarthout made six saves in goal, including a crucial late-game breakaway save to help preserve the victory.”
