Southern Tier Sports ReportCORNING — The Corning Hawks volleyball team dropped the first set, then won the next three to top Elmira on Tuesday, 23-25, 25-14, 25-11, 25-17.
Bella Gonzalez had 12 points, three aces and 25 digs and Reagan Terwilliger had nine points, two aces, seven kills and nine digs.
Sam Molingou had eight kills, two blocks and a dig and Char Starns had three points, 11 kills, two blocks and two digs.
Paisley Emmick had 35 assists, 12 digs and six points and Sophie Schoonover had 14 points, three aces, five kills and four digs.
Elmira got 14 assists from Kylie Leonberger and Cate Lambert had seven kills, 10 digs and 11 points.
Alivia Kerr had seven kills, six digs and four points and Aleah Leonberger had nine assists, three digs and 12 points.
Corning won the JV match 25-15, 25-9, 15-25.
Alexa Topper had three kills, 17 assists, two aces and six digs and Hannah Kauffman had 15 digs and an ace, while Leah Beall finished with four kills, two aces and three digs.
