Southern Tier Sports ReportHORSEHEADS — The Horseheads boys’ golf team edged Elmira 215-221 on the back nine at Soaring Eagles on Monday afternoon.
The top five for Elmira all shot between 40 and 45 on the day.
Jeff Cain shot a 40, second best in the field on the day, and Jackson Bell and Jackson Palumbo both shot rounds of 43.
Braden Sternquist shot a 44 and Mo Cardinale had a 45. Boedi Knapp shot a round of 46 in a score that wasn’t used.
Ryan Ferraro earned medalist honors for Elmira with a 38.
Brayden Eden and Max Norman both had rounds of 45 and Aiden Ranck shot a 46.
Dominick Faulisi and Drew Reynolds both had rounds of 47 for Elmira.
