CORNING — The Corning Hawks won the gold bracket title at their annual Corning Hawks Volleyball Tournament, while Horseheads claimed the silver bracket title.
In the gold bracket Corning picked up a win over Charles Finney to get to the final, where they beat Ithaca.
Finney had beaten North Penn, while Lansing beat Trumansburg and then Ithaca beat Lansing.
In the silver bracket Horseheads beat Spencer Van-Etten, then topped Tioga before topping Waverly in the final.
Waverly beat Edison and Rush Henrietta to get to the silver final.
In pool play Corning went 6-0 in their bracket, beating SVE 25-13, 25-19, topping Lansing 25-9, 25-22 and Rush Henrietta 25-18, 25-22.
Lansing was 4-2 and Rush Henrietta was 2-4, while SVE was 0-6.
Edison was 0-6 in their pool. They fell to Ithaca 25-12, 25-16, fell to Tioga 26-24, 25-13 and Charles Finney 25-18, 25-18.
Ithaca was 6-0 in the bracket, Finney was 4-2 and Tioga was 2-4.
In their division Horseheads was 3-3 to take third. They beat Waverly 25-22, 25-17 and split with Trumansburg 25-16, 23-25, while falling to North Penn 20-25, 23-25.
Trumansburg was 4-2 and North Penn was 3-3, while Waverly went 2-4.
