Southern Tier Sports ReportELMIRA — The Elmira girls’ tennis team fell to Ithaca 7-0 on Wednesday afternoon.
In first singles Ithaca’s Mengdi Zeng won 6-0, 6-0 over Ella Devlin and at second singles Olivia Hao of Ithaca won 6-1, 6-1 over Millie Kiersten.
In third singles Andrea Martinez of Ithaca won 6-2, 6-2 over Dayna Zhydovlenko and at fourth singles Isadora Kimball won 6-0, 6-0 over Leilani Nick of Elmira.
In first doubles Jingying Xu and Yeannette Sopchak of Ithaca won 6-1, 6-1 over Hannah Reynolds and Mary Collins. In second doubles Reshmi Huffman and Sareena Payne won 6-0, 6-0 over Olivia Andrews and Jayden Mann. In third doubles Fanta Coulibaly and Kate Breen won 6-2, 6-1 over Aurora Cook and Evaya Gardner.
