SECTION 4 GIRLS' SWIMMING & DIVING: ELMIRA EDGED BY VESTAL (2026-09-08)

ELMIRA — The Elmira Express girls’ swimming and diving team fell to Vestal on Tuesday, 93-82.

Scarlett Hollenbeck was third in the 200 free in 2:31.57 and Aubrey Newkirk was second in the 200 IM in 2:39.83 followed by Eleanor Hagan in 2:54.27.

Brooke Cross was second in the 50 free in 27.86.

Isadora Cyr won the diving at 187.75.

Newkirk won the 100 fly in 1:12.68 and Leah Church was second in the 100 free in 1:03.79 followed by Cross in 1:04.56. 

Alyssa Murphy was third in the 500 free in 7:28.89. 

Payton Dotts was second in the 100 back in 1:16.52 followed by Hollenbeck in 1:17.50.

Church took first in the 100 breaststroke in 1:23.37 followed by Alivia Emanuel in 1:29.22. 

Elmira’s Newkirk, Hotllenbeck, Dotts and Hagan took first in the 400 free relay in 4:32.31.
