Southern Tier Sports ReportEight area boys’ lacrosse players earned all-state honors, with Horseheads landing five players on the all-state list.
In a year where Horseheads won their first state game, they had four players on the top six teams of all state, and another on honorable mention.
Boe Briggs was a third-team selection as a senior, while Brogan Sullivan was a fourth-team player at attack as a freshman.
Senior Nathan Tousley was on the sixth team along with sophomore teammate Keenan McCarhty.
Zachary Bennett was a honorable mention player for the Blue Raiders.
Finn Schweizer of Notre Dame/Watkins Glen was the highest local player, earning second team attack honors in Class D.
Kohl Hogue was a fourth-team player at attack as a junior for Corning in Class A and Joe Fucito made seventh team for the Hawks.
