Southern Tier Sports ReportHORSEHEADS — The Corning 10u Little League all-star team had their season come to an end with a 12-2 loss to Liverpool on Monday night.
After rallying to win the opener of sectionals against Lakeshore, CPPLL fell to Vestal and Liverpool.
CPPLL fell behind 2-0 after one inning. They got a run back in the second, but Liverpool scored three in the third and fourth and four in the fifth.
Vaust Fusco had a hit and an RBI and Ryan Hesch had a hit and a run scored.
Wyatt Hunter and Evelyn Miller had hits and River Dunkleberger scored a run.
Michael Spaulding worked 3 1/3 innings, striking out four and Grayson Putney struck out one on in an inning. Kamden Dillon got the final two outs, one by strikeout.
