Southern Tier Sports ReportWAVERLY — The Big Flats 10u Little League team fell in the quarterfinals of bracket play on Tuesday, 10-6.
Waverly led 2-0 after one inning, but Big Flats tied the game in the top of the second.
Waverly got a run in the bottom of the second and four in the third to go up 7-2.
Big Flats got within 7-4 in the top of the fourth, but Waverly added a run in the bottom of the fourth and a run in the fifth to go up 10-4, before Big Flats scored two in the sixth.
Benton Kilpatrick had two hits, with a triple, an RBI and three runs scored and Sammy Minier had two hits, two RBI and two runs scored. Logan Lewis scored a run in the game.
Kilpatrick struck out seven in 2 2/3 innings and Minier struck out four in two innings.
