Southern Tier Sports ReportPHILADELPHIA — The Corning Hawks boys’ 4xmile finished fourth at nationals to earn All-American status with a new-school record time of 17:26.92.
Nick Ferratella, Sebastian Boutwell, Christopher Lawson and Bryce Hammond earned the All-American honors.
All four Corning runners ran under 4:28 in the mile, with Hammond running a 4:16.87 anchor leg.
Corning’s Clare McLaughlin was 43rd in the girls’ freshman 100 hurdles in 16.28.
Cella McLaughlin finished ninth in the 100 hurdles, running a 13.80 in the semifinals to miss the finals by .01. She ran a 13.97 in the first-round to advance on to the semifinals.
Corning finished 68th in the 4x400 relay in 4:02.23 with a team of Cella McLaughlin, Claire Devlin, Brooklyn Gordon and Chinonyerem Okoro.
