Southern Tier Sports ReportHORSEHEADS — The Horseheads Blue Raiders held an athletic signing day last week with 24 athletes singing to compete in college.
Lauren Kozemko (Albany) and Lexi Lese (Niagara) both signed to play Division I lacrosse. Caitlin Yearick signed to play at D1 St. John’s for softball and Nicholas Kowal and Makenzie Baker both signed to run Division 1 cross country and track and field at SUNY Stony Brook.
Alexus Borek signed to do division 2 track and field at Bloomsbury and Jacqueline Mayotte will compete in D2 swimming at Lock Haven.
Kaelyn McCarthy (Misericordia), CarLynn Sindlinger (Oneonta) and Emma Guzylak (Nazareth) all signed to compete in track and field.
Patrick Laney (Geneseo), Chase Luangswon (Rochester) both will compete in college track and field. Karina Lapierre (Brockport) will swim and do track and field.
Alexandria Mosher (Harwick), Genevieve Carro (Nazareth) and Mia Carro (Geneseo) all will swim in college.
Andrew Fedele (Messiah), Nate Tousley (Cortland), Boe Briggs (Cortland) and Zach Bennett (Penn State Harrisburg) will all compete in lacrosse in college.
Olivia Hornsby (Arcadia) will compete in soccer, Mikaeilie Stedge (Elmira) will compete in cheerleading, Kyle Ernst (Brockport) will play football and Allyson Perry (St. John Fisher) will play flag football.
