Southern Tier Sports ReportWATKINS GLEN — The Edison softball team was edged in the Section IV, Class B semifinals 5-3 by Watkins Glen/Odessa-Montour on Thursday night.
Edison led 2-0 after the top of the second inning, but Watkins Glen got a run in the bottom of the second and a run in the third to tie things.
Edison went back up 3-2 after a run in the fourth, before WG/O-M scored two in the fourth to retake the lead and they tacked on a run in the sixth.
Edison had four hits in the game, with Teresa Carter getting two hits, with an RBI.
Carissa Cowan and Taylar Burdick each had hits in the game with Cowan, Hailey Clark and Cierra Davis scoring runs in the game. Kayla Rossi had an RBI.
Aubree Smith threw the complete game, striking out six.
