TRUMANSBURG — Day one is in the books at the IAC Track and Field Championships at Trumansburg.
Zachary Sternfels won the division in the boys’ 400 in 52.94.
Jameson Duggan won the division, and overall, in the 3000 steeplechase in 10:55.54. Edison’s Daniel Stern was 10th in the division in 15:12.71.
Edison’s Hannah Lasko took fourth in both the 100 and 400 meters for the Spartans.
In the 100 meters she finished third overall in 12.94, second in the division, while teammate Richelle Jochem was fourth in the division, in 13.63. Eleanor Green of Notre Dame was fifth in the division in 13.78.
Lasko was also second overall, and second in the division, in the 400 in 1:00.76.
In the boys’ 100 Connor Lasko of Edison was fifth in the division in 11.88. Mark Cornacchio was seventh in the division in 12.82.
In the boys’ 110 hurdles Bryson Smith finished third in the division in 20.22. Sophia Campanella was sixth in the division in the 100 hurdles in 20.02.
Notre Dame’s Gavin Meier was third in the division in the 1600 in 4:55.38. Edison boys were third in the 3200 relay in the division in 8:58.93 and Notre Dame was sixth in 9:50.16.
Edison’s Cassandra Osgood was fourth in the division in the 2000 steeplechase in 9:27.47 and teammate Emma Duggan was fifth in 9:36.47.
Rashid Brown of Notre Dame was second in the division, and second overall, in the high jump at 6-feet.
Jaxon Brewster was eighth in the shot put for Edison in the division at 31-feet, 5-inches.
Caitlin Keenan of Notre Dame was fourth in the division (13-feet, 4 3/4-inches) and Maci McWhorter was fifth (13-feet, 2 3/4-inches) in the long jump.
Cornacchio was ninth in the division in the long jump for the boys at 17-feet, 5 1/4-inches.
Rebecca Haralson was sixth in the division in the girls’ discus at 69-feet, 10-inches.
