Southern Tier Sports ReportBINGHAMTON — The Horseheads baseball team fell to Oneonta 4-0 in the STAC Semifinals at Mirabito Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Mason Markle went four innings on the mound, giving up no earned runs and striking out seven. Chase Mashanic worked three innings, striking out two and allowing an earned run.
UNC Wilmington commit Nolan Stark threw a four-hit shutout for Oneonta, he struck out two and walked just one.
Kegan Monahan, Cooper Ball, Beckett Doane and Markle had the hits for Horseheads.
Horseheads hosts Binghamton in the sectional semifinals on Monday in a best of three series.
