Southern Tier Sports ReportBINGHAMTON — The Horseheads boys’ lacrosse team picked up a 19-7 victory over Binghamton on Friday night.
It was a 7-7 game at the half, before the Blue Raiders outscored Binghamton 12-0 in the second half.
“I am proud of the way the boys responded in the second half,” Horseheads coach Jason Neubauer said. “I thought we had some guys step up and had their best games of the year.”
Ethain Bailey and Seamus Lynch each had five goals in the game.
Owen Johnson had three goals and an assist and Brogan Sullivan had two goals and two assists.
Keenan McCarthy had a goal and two assists and Boe Briggs had a goal and an assist.
Liam Kelly and Mason Yackel each had goals for Horseheads and Colin Phillips had an assist.
Ben Potter had five saves for the Blue Raiders and Boe Briggs was 22-for-27 on face-offs.
Ty Miller had three goals and an assist for Binghamton and Tristen Durham had two goals and an assist.
Kameron Ash finishedd with a goal and an assist and Brayden Walker had a goal, while Elder Turkovic had an assist.
Aiden Hurley had six saves for Binghamton.
