Southern Tier Sports ReportENDWELL — The Horseheads baseball team edged Maine-Endwell 2-1 on Tuesday night.
Hunter Matkosky hit a one-out triple scoring Kegan Monahan and Cooper Ball to give Horseheads the lead in the top of the sixth.
Mason Markle went the distance, giving up one run on five hits with six strikeouts in the game.
Beckett Doane had two hits for the Raiders and Ryan Weigand and AJ Sheehan also had hits in the win.
