STAC BASEBALL: CORNING EDGED BY U-E, 5-4 (2026-05-12)

ENDWELL — The Corning Hawks baseball team was edged by Union-Endicott 5-4 on Tuesday night.

U-E jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second inning and the Hawks scored two in the third to make it 4-2. 

The Hawks scored two in the sixth to tie the game, but the Tigers scored in the seventh to get the win. 

Jay Richards and Parker Tolbert each had two hits in the game. Richards had a double and a run scored and Tolbert scored a run. 

Nate Bretch, Preston Miller and Zach Miller each had hits in the game with Zac and Preston Miller scoring runs. 

Bretch struck out four in 6 1/3 innings and Johnny Graham got the last two outs.
