SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY — The Horseheads flag football team was edged by Susquehanna Valley 13-6 on Tuesday night.

Horseheads took the lead in the third quarter as Kennedy Harer scored on a 14-yard run to make it 6-0.

In the fourth Lara Gruden caught a 15-yard pass from Ashley Ondreyko to tie things and then Gruden had a five-yard scoring run to put SV ahead. Allicyn Bisaha caught a pass from Ondreyko for the extra point.

Harer had 12 carries for 99 yards for Horseheads and Sydney Blunt ran for 55 yards, while Amelia Reed ran for 20 yards. 

Claire Stevens threw for 50 yards on 7-for-14 passing for Horseheads and Emma Drake was 8-for-11 for 32 yards. 

Peyton Butts had five grabs for 15 yards and Peighton Ellison had an 18-yard catch. 

Harer had two catches for 11 yards and Tegan Thomas had three catches for 10 yards. Ally Perry and Cailee Rosen each had a catch for 11 yards. Shiloh McInerney had a six-yard catch and Blunt had a catch. 

Butts and Alexxa Johnson-Fairchild had interceptions. Ellison and Harer had five flag pulls each and Blunt had four. Rosen had a sack and a flag pull.
