Southern Tier Sports ReportENDWELL — The Horseheads softball team fell at Maine-Endwell on Friday, 12-6.
Horseheads led 4-0 after the top of the first, but the Spartans got six in the bottom half of the first and never trailed again.
Caitlin Yearick and Presley McInnis hit back-to-back home runs to lead off the game for Horseheads.
Yearick had two hits, an RBI and a run scored and McInnis had two hits, two RBI and two runs scored.
Aubrey Howe had a hit, an RBI and a run scored and Grace Cronin had a hit and two RBI, while Aubrey Griffith had a hit.
Aubrey Maticic and Braelyn Beach scored runs in the game.
Reese O’Herron struck out one in the game.
